Using coupons even after your purchase
So it has been a few weeks since I my last post and that is due to the family moving for a new job. There has been a ton to do for the move but that hasn’t slowed me down on looking for the savings opportunities. As we are in a short-term apartment, we needed to make a general purchase of items from Bed Bath and Beyond. After a few days of this $200 purchase, we received a 20% off coupon for one item from Bed Bath & Beyond in the mail, you know the big blue cardboard coupon. I was a little upset that we weren’t able to use this coupon due to timing, so I just went to the store with my original receipt and coupon. They were able to reimburse me the coupon savings and mentioned to feel free to stop back again with any other coupons. I don’t see that kind of customer service often and was very appreciative.
So if you are questioning the same thing, it doesn’t hurt to ask if you can apply coupons to previous purchases. My experience saved us $18.00 which I will deposit in the net worth account.
